A benelli lift is a cosmetic procedure that is used to lift smaller breasts that have less than severe sagging. This is done by the removal of a tissue that is doughnut-shaped that is found around the areola. It is a less invasive cosmetic procedure than having a full breast lift, or mastopexy. It is not the type of cosmetic surgery for patients that are looking for more drastic enhancement such as a breast augmentation with a lift.
This cosmetic procedure is done with local anesthesia with sedation or with general anesthesia. This procedure can take approximately one to three hours to complete, which is not as long as a full breast lift. After the surgery you may have temporary swelling, discomfort, discoloration of your breasts, bruising, and numbness.
It will take approximately seven days before you are able to return to your normal activities and work. It will take at least thirty days before you can do any type of strenuous activities. For the scars to mature fully it could take at least twelve months.
As with any type of cosmetic surgery, you may experience slow healing, a possibility of sensation that has decreased, and loss of tissue around the areola or nipple area. This procedure is long lasting with the final results being affected by aging and weight fluctuation.
